Their little features changes so quickly.

What To Expect From Your Newborn Shoot

Newborn sessions are calm and slow, as they should be. We will have plenty of time to stop for comforts and feeds.

You will not have to look at the camera (unless you want to) and you will spend the session hugging, cuddling and marvelling over your new baby.

If it wasn’t for the beeping and clicking of my camera, and my awesome sense of humour, you wouldn’t even notice I was in the room with you.

How Will I Receive My Photos?

Once I’ve had time to edit your photographs (this takes me around 2 weeks depending on how busy it is), I will send you a link to your online gallery where you will be able to view all of the best photographs from our shoot.

Depending on the package you have purchased, you will be able to choose and download a minimum of 15 images from your private online gallery.

What Should We Wear To The Shoot?

Your outfit can really help compliment your photographs and make them the best they can be, so it really is worth thinking about what you are going to wear. Don’t get too attached to one singular outfit for your little one – have a couple of different options and different colours available. One outfit (at least) is bound to end up with milk stains in the first 5 minutes. Wraps, hairbands, special toys or blankets are all things we can use for your newborn photoshoot.

The most important thing to consider for yourself, when dressing for your photoshoot is comfort. If you don’t feel comfortable, chances are you will not look comfortable either.

Colours are another important factor that really help your photographs tie together. Natural fabrics, with natural colours are totally trendy at the moment and look fantastic on camera. You want to avoid big bold logos or big bold patterns as these can be very distracting.

Find a complimenting colour palette that you like and work with it. Mix and match colours. Knits and layers add texture and give images more depth. If you run out of ideas, give me a buzz, let’s have a chat, or show me what ideas you have. If you want to be inspired, spend a bit of time looking at Pinterest – you are bound to find plenty of ideas there.
